The National Committee of Coffee Growers reported that it decided to postpone the definition of the final list of candidates for the position of general manager of the National Federation of Coffee Growers (FNC).

According to the schedule, this Thursday, March 16, the shortlist should be ready, but the Committee will define it during the week of March 20-26.
“Once the shortlist has been defined, the National Committee will review the following stages of the schedule of the election process in order to guarantee that all the steps are fulfilled and the coffee growers can learn first-hand about the candidates and their proposals.“.

Currently, there are 7 semifinalists to be a manager of the FNC. They are:
– Carlos Felipe Robayo Duque.
– Cesar Augusto Echeverry Brown.
– German Alberto Bahamon Jaramillo.
– Luis Fernando Mejia Alzate.
– Mauricio Velasquez Garcia.
– Sandra Morelli Rico.
– Santiago Pardo Salguero.

It is worth clarifying that in the election of the shortlist will participate the Ministers of Finance, Agriculture and Commerce.
Once the shortlist is known, the three chosen will tour the the 15 departmental committees to present their proposals, in accordance with the rules established by the FNC.
Finally, the Extraordinary National Coffee Congress will make the election of the new manager.
