National Commission for Pandemic Response (CNRP) recommends that Minsal take measures due to prolonged Covid-19 syndrome

The National Pandemic Response Commission (CNRP) agreed to deliver a series of recommendations to the Ministry of Health (Minsal) to better combat the post-covid syndrome in the country.

The 11 CNRP experts agreed that the Minsal must “make technical information related to the post-Covid syndrome available on its digital platforms, as well as generate training for health personnel.”

Along the same lines, they reported that “there is agreement that the measures adopted by the health authority be aimed at hospitalized patients, to the extent that they constitute the highest risk patients, pending greater certainty regarding the form of presentation of the pathology in our country and the objectification of the impact it has presented”.

Since the coronavirus arrived in Chile on March 3, 2020, the authorities have reported that 4,744,343 people have been infected. However, despite having been discharged, many patients point out that the symptoms persist over time, which has been known as prolonged Covid.
