The Minister for Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, presented to the National Assembly (AN) the National Budget Project 2023, the Indebtedness Law and the projects of the annual operating plan.
After making the delivery to the first vice president of the Assembly, Iris Varela, he explained, “we are seeing the first year of what could be the first year of a stage of the new normality in the framework of the Pandemic.”
In the same way, he referred that these three instruments, “are extremely important that they be known because they correspond to the Public politics carried out by the Venezuelan State. They are instruments from the point of view of the sovereignty of the nation,” said Menéndez.
Regarding the nation’s budget, he said, “this is a budget that has been generated with a lot of mission from the point of view of austerity in terms of realism, resources and learning generated in the framework of the war,” he said.
In reference to the Indebtedness Law, he stated that Venezuela has been tried to “suffocate the Republic in all its income and resource systems, it is a positive message from the point of view of our country and internationally.”
Likewise, he indicated that about 1,093 projects of the annual operating plan are being consigned to be carried out in each of the ministries. “There are some projects that have a central level, that is, those that have the central portfolio of the annual operating plan for next year, which are 313 projects and 33 of the Indebtedness Law”.
For her part, the first vice president of the AN, Iris Varela, reported that the delivery of these legal instruments is within constitutional time. Likewise, she pointed out that the deputies will carry out the corresponding study of the proposals.
“We see today a flourishing economy. Those who do not want to see it do not live in this country but it is evident that the economy of this country has resurfaced, it is not that sanctions have been removed or the economic war has ended. In addition, with all these attacks on the people, here is the responsible revolutionary government, bringing the country afloat,” said Varela.
