This Thursday the National Assembly unanimously approved the formation of a special Commission to investigate facts and complaints of abuses against the people throughout the national territory.
The president of the Parliament, Jorge Rodríguez, called the vote among the parliamentarians, after the deputy Diosdado Cabello, presented the proposal and exposed the case of the inhabitants of an area in the Zamora municipality of the Miranda state, who on April 12 were deceived. and evicted from their land by the mayor and the police of that municipality, an action in which a company interested in keeping the land to install a karting track is involved.
Rodríguez stated that the commission must go to the scene, interview all the inhabitants of the area and summon Mayor Razier Rodríguez and all those involved to be questioned.
It has to be an exemplary action! Let the force of the State be felt against those who committed these crimes! Let it be known that we will not have any kind of weakness or tremor when acting! That the law of the State, of the Constitution, be applied,” Rodríguez sentenced.
“Throughout the Fourth Republic, how many records are there of murders of peasants and social leaders? A defender of the peasant leaders was assassinated in the Fourth Republic, the husband of (deputy) Desirée Santos Amaral. That, of course, went unpunished,” Rodríguez said.
The special commission will be chaired by Ricardo Molina, while deputy Azucena Jaspe was appointed as the first vice-president and Oscar Ronderos as the second vice-president.
It is also made up of deputies Rosa León, Pedro Infante, Blanca Eekhout and Irimar Malavé, for the Bloc of the Homeland. Juan Carlos Alvarado and Nixon Maniglia were appointed by the opposition.
The commission created this Thursday will first investigate the illegal eviction ordered by the mayor of the Zamora municipality in Miranda state, Raziel Rodríguez, and any other arbitrary act that threatens the people in any part of the country.
