Narvaja Cow: "Works with China are generational assets"

Vaca Narvaja and a Chinese media group agreed to cooperate in the publishing sector

The Argentine ambassador Sabino Vaca Narvaja informed on Tuesday that he works for “expand the list of investment cooperation in infrastructure to further strengthen cooperation between China and Argentina in terms of joint development of works, which are true generational assets”.

Vaca Narvaja was one of the exhibitors at a meeting organized by the Argentine Council for International Relations (CARI), for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations.

In his speech, the Argentine diplomat highlighted the recent visit to China by President Alberto Fernández in which the Argentina’s accession to the Belt and Road Initiative and signed the V Strategic Dialogue for Economic Cooperation and Coordinationtwo initiatives that will allow the country to carry out a significant number of works of infrastructurereported from the embassy.

“This strategic dialogue reflects in terms of investments what we have called generational assets: that is, providing Argentina with infrastructure for development with great value for future generations”, said Vaca Narvaja.

“These railway, hydroelectric, photovoltaic, wind, transmission lines, gas pipelines, Our fourth Nuclear Power Plant works (to cite some specific examples), are works that will last over time with an impact on several generations,” added the ambassador.

The presidents of CARI, José Octavio Bordón, and of the China Institute of International Studies (CIIS), Xu Bu, took part in the meeting; together with the Chinese ambassador to Argentina, Zou Xiaoli; and Jorge Malena, from the Asian Affairs Committee.

In this context, Sabino Vaca Narvaja stressed that “the visit of our President was a way to crystallize this work that a Government has been doing that believes that the link with China is a favorable path for our development”.

Lastly, the ambassador detailed some of the growth opportunities that are opening up for our country, such as the reconversion of the automotive industry with the installation of lithium electric battery factories and the explosion of mobile e-commerce from agreements with Taobao, which has 700 million users, and Jing Dong, with 690 million users, among other issues.
