Ñáñez: Venezuela defeated the new imperial power of algorithms

“The Bolivarian Revolution is now facing people who control the algorithms of social networks, who have power that no one in humanity has ever had before, and that is the power to whisper to every man and every woman what is theirs and what is convenient for them, because they have the power to know all of our data,” explained the Vice President of Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez, in reference to the owners of the networks that try to threaten the peace and government of Venezuela through cyberattacks.

During a Special Program that was broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, he mentioned that Venezuela faces a “truly destructive” machinery and stressed that it is not the same to face the large agencies that monopolize communications in the world and that introduce an editorialized version that tries to manipulate through the perspective that they print, reported the state channel on its website.

“Our fight is unequal because we are fighting against a very powerful media, against all the corporations that monopolize the editorials and headlines of the planet Earth, in addition to the phenomenon of social networks that have emerged as an experiment to inoculate chaos in the world’s population by killing the truth,” said Ñáñez, while highlighting that on August 17 they were defeated.

The Minister of People’s Power for Communication and Information also mentioned that Elon Musk bought Twitter now X, “as a toy to use as a personal tool to destabilize not only Venezuela, but also to lead the coup d’état against Bolivia interested in lithium; and also responsible for the attack on the United Kingdom and Brazil.”

“We are in a state of strong tension in the world, between virtual scenarios, media operations that have become known as a cognitive war of symbolic representation versus reality that ultimately ends up prevailing,” said Ñañez.

People celebrate in the street

Regarding this Saturday’s march, the Minister of People’s Power for Communication and Information, Freddy Ñáñez, mentioned that the people took to the streets to celebrate the popular victory of July 28 and to reject fascism as a racist political manifestation and violence. “They not only brought out the Chavista people but also the nationalist people who want to build, who want to continue making their contributions so that Venezuela can definitively break with the imperial blockade.”

He said that what was seen in the different cities and in Caracas was the imposition of reality over virtuality and commented that at the time he asked journalists from international news agencies to cover the two marches “and to let the images speak, images that cannot be truncated by any technological tools that may be available, those images tell the world something about the great march of the people that supports peace and that supports President Nicolás Maduro.”

In this regard, Minister Ñáñez stated that imperialism is losing territory and respect before the international community, which is why the exacerbation of fascism is projected as a strategy.
