The Sectorial Vice President of Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez, published in his account of the Social Network Telegram an analysis of the video presented by the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, in which the alleged destruction of a small draft vessel appears.
Ñáñez suggested that the video, which announces the alleged destruction of a boat that transported drugs and that according to Rubio left Venezuela, was generated with artificial intelligence (AI), in an attempt to deceive the president of the USA, Donald Trump.
“It seems that Marco Rubio keeps lying to its president: After putting it in a dead end, now it gives it as “proof” a video with AI (thus proven), ”he wrote before giving the News.
Next, the Minister of Communication and Information also listed a series of characteristics, emanating from the AI Gemini, in which he analyzes why the video was generated with this technology.
“The video shows a ship that is attacked and then explodes in a way that looks like a simplified animation, almost cartoon, instead of a realistic representation of an explosion,” explains the text.
He continues to explain that “the video contains movement artifacts and a lack of realistic detail, something common in the videos generated by the water, in particular, it looks very stylized and unnatural.”
He argues that “the content of the video seems to be composed of different elements, including the text” without classifying “and a brand of water of unknown origin. These elements, together with the lack of detail, are common in the content generated by AI.”
Finally, explains the text presented by the minister that these types of materials are known as “Deepfake”, or type of increasingly common materials on social networks. He denounces that they are used as entertainment, as misinformation or artistic expression.
