The 5th edition of the international art festival NaLata begins this Saturday (5), taking over the streets of the Pinheiros neighborhood, in the capital of São Paulo, and Casa NaLata, with free entry. The festival runs until November 2nd.
In partnership with STRAAT, a street art and graffiti museum in Amsterdam, the event will feature giant works by national and international artists linked to urban culture.
Forty artists will have their works exhibited in the space, in addition to others that will be made on gables (sides of buildings without windows) and murals. The schedule also includes video screenings mapping.
Among the artists in this edition are Tinho, Enivo, Simone Siss, Dolores, Gugie, Bicicleta sem Freio, Tito Ferrara, Alexia Ferreira, GG Learte, Mundano, Rio Sora, Pri Barbosa, Felipe Risada, Vitche and Jana Joana, Luna Buschinelli, Zezao and Gamex Crew.
“Since its debut, the festival has reinvented the landscape of São Paulo, using art as a powerful tool for expression and transformation of public space. In this edition, in an unprecedented partnership with STRAAT, we expanded our programming to strengthen the democratization of culture and boost the arts scene in the country”, said, in a statement, Luan Cardoso, curator and creator of the NaLata Festival.
The duo of Dutch artists Telmo Miel, formed by Telmo Pieper and Miel, will create a mural in the Pinheiros neighborhood. Brazilian artist Tinho SP, Portuguese visual artist Nuno Viegas, and Portuguese visual artist, muralist, illustrator and tattoo artist, Tamara Alves, will paint gables in the neighborhood.
