Nakayama describes Abdo as “the ostrich president”

Eduardo Nakayama, candidate for senator for the PLRA, described Mario Abdo Benítez, the national president, as the “ostrich president”. This is due to the fact that the president refuses to comment on important problems that arise, such as what happened with prosecutor Marcelo Pecci, or the most recent attack on José Carlos Acevedo, mayor of Pedro Juan Caballero (PJC).

“From today I baptize President Mario Abdo Benítez as the ostrich president because what he does, when the potatoes burn, is stick his head in. He is the ostrich president,” he stated.

CONTRAST

He pointed out that on the one hand it is encouraging that a sister country like Colombia has taken the investigation into the case of hired assassins so seriously that ended the life of prosecutor Marcelo Pecci last Tuesday, May 10.

“They have not been left alone in the protocol shows of solidarity. But they definitely began to investigate jointly with intelligence people from the United States. That led to a series of arrests and detentions, many of them extraditable people,” he commented.

The businessman and liberal politician affirmed that this situation makes it clear that Colombia will go to the last consequences.

“That is the encouraging panorama that comes to us from Colombia. On the other hand, the bleak panorama that we have in our own country. The country that should have cared for the integrity of prosecutor Pecci, which should be more interested in clarifying the fact, is the one that moves the slowest. Because to date, except for one or another announcement, no progress has been made, ”he questioned.

He argued that there is a lack of interest on the part of the Government of Abdo Benítez to clarify the recent case of José Carlos Acevedo. The liberal mayor of Pedro Juan Caballero was the victim of an attack when he was leaving the commune last Tuesday the 17th.

“This is nothing more than a consequence of ‘Operation Scar 2’ that they did. That is why I have said on several occasions that husband and Cartes are two sides of the same coin. And if he had the courage to fight organized crime, he should come forward and clear things up. But he is into his internals and he is obsessed, while the country is adrift, ”he expressed.
