The former candidate for mayor of Asunción, Eduardo Nakayama, told Radio Ñandutí that the Guasú Front had long since decided to leave the agreement promoted by various political movements and added that there is an internal problem in said party that is even more serious than the division of the PLRA.
He said in contact with the media that it is necessary for said sector to rethink its strategies since in the municipal elections they had “catastrophic” results.
Nakayama mentioned that the consultation cannot take place without a democratic base and that the imposition of a candidate cannot be accepted, since it puts at risk that a sector of the opposition does not agree.
“The most recent experience is of the municipal ones and how has the result been for the Guasú Front in the municipal ones in relation to the number of Councillors? They have lost 80% of the spaces. They have to rethink this issue and see how to put aside selfishness, misgivings and see the Paraguay that we all want to build, ”he commented in contact with Ñandutí.
