WHAT THE FUCK DO I CARE IF THE MINISTER IS BLACK, DISABLED OR WOMAN?
Ministers must be the best, and the worst discrimination is prioritizing other things.

After having been one of the most visible journalists in the last electoral campaign, Ignacio Álvarez returned to speak, once again, against the government of elected president Yamandú Orsi.
Álvarez, now stripped of his popular television space “Santo y Seña”, continues to do journalism from his radio program “La Pecera”, and did not miss the opportunity to criticize the recently administered Orsi cabinet. The elected president chose a significant number of women, who have been relegated to secondary positions in other governments (including that of Luis Lacalle Pou), but for Álvarez that is not relevant.
“Yamandú Orsi, as you know, announced the complete integration of his (Alejandro) Pacha Sánchez, which is the cabinet that has ‘the most women in history.’ And what to me? And is this going to make it better or worse? Please! Besides, I believe that the best way to respect women is to harshly punish those who harass them. What happened to Tato Olmos?” Álvarez began by saying in his editorial on December 17.
And he continued: “I am reading the newspaper El País and this is what surprises me the most. He adds that ‘for the first time in history there will be a minister of African descent. AND?! Also, for the first time, one has a physical disability that has him confined to a wheelchair? AND?! AND?! The first paragraphs tell me that one is black, how many women there are, that one is in a wheelchair… I seriously can’t believe it, crazy: What the hell do I care if he is a woman, disabled or black?
“Will he govern better because of that? Are you going to govern if he is a man, blonde and without disabilities? What interests me is how he is going to govern. The black Ortuño – I call him black because everyone calls him black – defended Federico Kreimerman when he planted ‘a bomb’ in OSE. And the Minister of Defense, Sandra Lazo, is the one who defends ‘the freedom’ of Cuba,” the journalist concluded.
