The death of the Universidad del Bosque student generated shock in the academic community and multiple questions about his movement from Bogotá to Cundinamarca.

Cristian Martín was in his first semester of Science and Mathematics at El Bosque University. According to his relatives’ story, the teenager left his home around 4:40 in the morning, as was usual in his academic routine.
That day he said goodbye normally and did not express any concerns or unusual situations before heading to the university. However, as the hours passed, his family began to become alarmed when they noticed that he was not responding to calls or messages, although his cell phone was still on.
Location of the cell phone led to Gachancipá
Given the lack of communication, his relatives checked the location of the mobile phone, which indicated the municipality of Gachancipá, in the department of Cundinamarca, about 50 minutes from Bogotá.
With this information, the authorities were immediately notified, who began a search operation in the indicated area. After several hours of traveling in a mountainous area, the minor’s body was found in a wooded area during the early morning, with no vital signs.
Investigation into the death of a student in Cundinamarca
Close people described Cristian as a calm young man, focused on his studies and without known conflicts. In addition, they highlighted his outstanding academic performance, thanks to which he had obtained a scholarship to begin his university career.
Relatives and especially the young man’s sister ask for speed in the investigation, because while they were in the search for the young man at the same time they were calling him and asking for money for his release.
