He also explained that 10 years ago the disbursement in security reached S/1,000 per month, and even many businesses preferred not to invest in this issue because there was “more peace of mind.”

In that sense, he called the Executive to present a proposal that serves the entire country, and not isolated measures such as emergency states that in some areas do not generate much impact.

For his part, the president of Mypes United of Peru, Daniel Hermoza, said that due to citizen insecurity, open -door sales are also affected.

Little action

In this regard, the president of the Confiep, Alfonso Bustamante Canny said that a plan is needed with a strategy that is led by President Dina Boluarte, however, showed her disappointment for the few actions.

“I think it is time to change to the Interior Minister, we are not possible that we do not see consequences in the situation. We have disappointed that the requirement to make an integrated plan, a request that we made two years ago, has not been taken into account,” he added .

Similarly, he said that despite the meetings they have had with the president, ministers and other members of the Executive, to date they do not obtain a specific response on the solutions that will be taken.

“We have gathered the business unions with the workers, we have made calls together, but we have no answer. In the executive they are not able to establish a plan or are insensitive and are with their heads elsewhere,” he said.

Regarding the participation of the private ones, he said they maintain the commitment to continue supporting the fight against insecurity. “We are not going to lower our guard, but unfortunately we repeat the same and we do not find different results,” he added.

All this situation that can lead to the loss of lives, also has an impact on private investments as well as tourism, according to the Confiep representative.
