History professor Sebastián Mauvezín, accused of acting as a link between Senator Gustavo Penadés and minors, stated that “harm” is being done to him and that he feels “totally unprotected” as a citizen.
“My social life has been ruined,” said the teacher, investigated in the case that investigates whether Penadés sexually abused minors.
Mauvezín, legally represented by the lawyer Juan Carlos Fernández Lecchini, said he was innocent.
“Of course I have evidence and I’m going to prove it. I can’t say it through the media,” he exclaimed as he left the court. His defense and that of Senator Penadés asked the Justice for the Prosecutor’s Office to lift the reservation on the identities of the victims who testified against Penadés, but this was rejected and now an Appeals Court must decide.
Asked why he had closed his social networks, Mauvezín argued: “I suspended Facebook because of the intimidation he was suffering.” She added that she is suffering from a “scorn”.
