MVCS appoints new Vice Ministers of Housing and Urbanism and of Construction and Sanitation

The Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation () appointed this Sunday, October 2, two new deputy ministers, according to supreme resolutions published today. They are Francisco Caro Calderón, who assumes the leadership of the Housing and Urban Development subsector, and Richard Acosta Arce, who will be in charge of Construction and Sanitation.

Both are career civil servants with experience in their respective subsectors.

Francisco Caro Calderón is an industrial engineer from the National University of Trujillo and has a master’s degree in Administration from ESAN University.

In addition, he has made a career in the MVCS. He was General Director of Programs and Projects in Housing and Urbanism, and before holding that position he was Director of Execution of Programs and Projects in Housing and Urbanism.

He has also been head of the Marketing Office and head of the Regional Coordination Department of the Mivivienda Fund, an entity attached to the MVCS.

For his part, Richard Acosta Arce is a sanitary engineer from the National University of Engineering and has a master’s degree in International Administration from ESAN University.

Among other positions in the public administration, he has been National Director of Sanitation of the MVCS. In the same way, he was general manager of Sedapal and director of Operations of the Technical Agency for the Administration of Sanitation Services (Otass), both entities attached to the MVCS.

He has also been chairman of the board of directors of Emapacop, which is the sanitation company for the province of Coronel Portillo, in Ucayali.

It should be noted that these changes respond to the decision of the Minister of Housing, Construction and Sanitation, César Paniagua Chacón, to reinforce the Senior Management teams of his portfolio, which include these two vice-ministerial offices.

Supreme resolutions 018-2022-VIVIENDA, which appoints Francisco Caro as Deputy Minister of Housing and Urban Development, and 016-2022-VIVIENDA, which appoints Richard Acosta as Deputy Minister of Construction and Sanitation, are signed by the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, and Minister Paniagua.
