Musical and Christmas show with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Santa Cruz de la Sierra

Nearly 200 artists will give life to ‘Musical Fantasy’, a Christmas carol show organized by the Autonomous Municipal Government of Santa Cruz de la Sierra (through the Municipal Secretary of Culture and Tourism) and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. The appointment is marked for this Thursday the 15th, at 8:00 p.m., at the foot of the Metropolitan Cathedral.

The experienced manager Isaac Terceros will take the baton on stage to lead the orchestra that will perform iconic Christmas pieces, such as the ‘Radetzky March’, by the famous Austrian composer Johann Strauss until the ‘Waltz of the Flowers’by the Russian master Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky.

You will also hear ‘The three kings’, ‘Angels are singing’, ‘Come faithful all of you’, ‘Peace to the world’ and ‘Merry Christmas’, among others. There will be 60 minutes of musical spell, which will have the star of Bethlehem as its axis.

Before, there will be a Christmas parade with various symbolic characters of December, such as the three wise men, a delicate ballerina, a nutcracker, a drummer and a jumping leprechaun.

This first part will be performed by the Banda Sinfónica de la Sierra and its director Alejandro Ortiz, at 7:00 p.m. At that time the doors of the Cathedral will open so that the musicians dressed in red suits and carrying gold details on their shoulders, come out to waste joy and music throughout the 24 de Septiembre square.

Laterat 20:00, the central show will arrive (free and for the whole family) and the guest soloists Karina Troiano and Luis Gamarra will participate.

The stage direction will be in charge of Mauricio Toledo and the six cast listed for this event, together with their directors, are: Philharmonic Orchestra of Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Isaac Terceros), Philharmonic Choir (Verónica Cardozo), Vocal Ensemble (Verónica Cardozo and Karina Troiano), Euphonia Children’s Choir (Karina Troiano), Niño Feliz Children’s Choir (Mariel Ríos) and the Municipal Children’s Choir Voces del Cielo (Luis Alberto Valdivia).
