The dictators Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo ordered the Ministry of Health (Minsa) to cover up the abandonment in which they had the facilities stolen from Confidencial, then Carlos Fernando Chamorro, director of that confiscated media, denounced that the property, located in the Planes de Altamira, in Managua, where the Sandinista regime located a supposed mother’s house to “justify the theft,” was in complete abandonment.
«On February 23, 2021, the dictatorship inaugurated a Minsa maternal home in the Confidencial Editorial Office, to launder the crime of confiscation of the media outlet. This is what the supposed clinic in Confidencial, occupied by the Police in 2018, looks like now, in total abandonment,” Chamorro wrote on November 30 on his X account.
Two days after Chamorro’s complaint, the Minsa released a statement through official media, indicating that “due to the guidance of Commander Daniel and Comrade Rosario” the “Camila López” Maternity Home “has evolved into the Camila Maternal and Child Clinic.” Lopez’.

In addition, he indicated that in this “free care is provided by pediatricians and obstetrician-gynecologists, from Monday to Friday from 8 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon.” Also, he stated that they will provide prenatal care, obstetric ultrasounds, breast and pelvic ultrasounds, care for women with cervical cancer, and psychoprophylactic birth sessions.
They justify theft of Confidential
The place that 48 hours before was closed, with rusty gates, with the “pink chicha” paint peeling off the walls, a sign with the name of the supposed clinic and the photo of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo discolored by the daily deterioration of the sun and rain, now it looks with a freshly painted façade, with new signage and plants.
The Minsa, to show the alleged use of these facilities, through official media, also showed a group of doctors caring for some patients who were forced to go to that place, where even the old chairs in the newsroom look dusty and noticeably neglected due to abandonment.
However, despite the improvements that were made to the façade of the facilities stolen from Confidencial, it was possible to verify in the same media photographs from the official media that inside the place there were walls with deteriorated paint, dirty ceilings and the wall perimeter of the patio full of mold.

The theft of the Confidencial facilities began in December 2020 when, like other media outlets, such as 100% Noticias, and the organizations Popol Na, Health Information and Advisory Services Center (Cisas) and the Nicaraguan Center for Rights Humano (Cenidh), woke up with signs indicating that the property “belongs to the MINSA (Ministry of Health).”
Two months after the installation of these signs, the authorities of the Sandinista regime began to carry out their inauguration installations. On the Confidencial property it occurred on February 23, 2021 and in the photographs released by official media, the use of all the furniture that was stolen from that media outlet for the alleged assembly of the mother’s house was even evident.
