The Vice President of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, reported this Monday, October 10, on the ravages left in the country by tropical storm Julia, after hitting the Caribbean Coast as a category one hurricane, early on Sunday, October 9.

In her customary midday speech, through her propaganda media, the spokeswoman for Daniel Ortega’s regime used her same partisan rhetoric by saying that the victims of the hurricane are “blessed, prosperous and victorious,” because according to her they managed to get out ahead after the passage of the natural phenomenon.

“We managed to get ahead defending life, we managed to get ahead by making life worthwhile from all the lessons learned, all our practices of defending life in everyday life,” the first lady boasted.

“Solidarity aid” to affected people

On the other hand, he reported that this afternoon a first shipment of “solidarity cooperation” went out to Bluefields and Corn Island, areas most affected by the passage of Hurricane Julia in Nicaraguan territory.

“Trucks with roof plans are coming out to cover needs in those two municipalities, which was where we had the most consequences on housing,” he explained.

He added that the families of the municipality of El Rama who are in shelters or in their relatives’ houses will also be served, with food “which also leaves this noon and another load will leave tomorrow.”

He also indicated that the total report of damage caused by “Julia” is being prepared for this afternoon from the offices of the National System for Disaster Prevention, Mitigation and Attention (Sinapred).

290 deliveries after passage of the «Julia»

In reference to hospital care, the wife of the dictator Ortega, said that 290 deliveries were attended throughout the national territory, while Hurricane Julia was moving.

“Four in the autonomous region of the South Caribbean, nine in Bilwi and the rest in all municipalities,” he explained. He also said that 197 emergency surgeries were performed; “Thank God all this without complications.”

Ortega will put his Police to work to “protect families”

Regarding the work of the Police in emergency situations due to natural phenomena, Murillo said that the dictator Daniel Ortega informed him that regulations will be prepared to understand “with greater efficiency.”

“When we have this type of situation due to heavy rains and flooding of rivers, the National Police has to go to the points where more vehicles and people circulate and which are river crossings to ensure that for the duration of the emergency neither vehicles nor people on horses, or people on foot, or on motorcycles to avoid misfortunes,” he stressed.

He insisted that “those other consequences that have to do with recklessness cannot be ignored because we are impatient and reckless and we generate suffering in our families.”

“So from now on, every time an emergency such as heavy rains occurs, the National Police has to protect those crossings where people pass from one shore to the other and not allow the transit of vehicles or people, to avoid that the currents cause suffering to the families”, stressed the deputy dictator.

The coordinator of the Communication Council of the Ortega regime concluded by affirming that “thank God we went well (…) The material is replaced, thank God we know and we have internalized that the material can be replaced and the most valuable thing must be protected, which is life. and in each home and in each family take care of ourselves so as not to regret tragedies ».
