Murillo affirms that he continues to "celebrate the triumph of love", after banishing opponents with hatred

The Vice President of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, said during her speech this Monday, February 13, through her propaganda media that her regime continues to celebrate “the triumph of love.”

“(…) The paths we are following, strengthening peace, with the right to live in peace, to live with love, because never again with hate,” said the spokesperson for the Ortega dictatorship, three days after having exiled 222 Nicaraguans, to those who were abusively stripped of their nationality and to sentence the Catholic bishop Rolando Álvarez to 26 years in prison and confine the Catholic bishop Rolando Álvarez in the La Modelo prison.

As she has said in her previous appearances on national television and in reference to the exile of the 222 former political prisoners that she kept kidnapped in the different prisons of the country, the first lady also stated that “love triumphed here (…) Nicaragua is made of vigor , of glory, of courage, of heroism, of the ability to dedicate ourselves to the most just causes (…)».

In reference to the day of love and friendship that she celebrates tomorrow, Tuesday, February 14, the deputy dictator used the more than 12 minutes of monologue to emphasize that “love is peace, it is the right, the right to live calm and safe, the love between all and for the good of all. These statements are made by Murillo despite the fact that his regime has distanced dozens of families due to the exile and imprisonment of opponents.

On February 9, the Nicaraguan government released and exiled almost 80 percent of political prisoners, and although the dictator Daniel Ortega has affirmed that the decision was unilateral, critics and opponents point out that “the arm folded” to his regime and could not withstand international pressure.

For their part, the exiled former political prisoners assure that they will continue to demand justice and freedom for the more than 30 political prisoners, including Monsignor Rolando Álvarez.
