The General Directorate of Works has been carrying out an important intervention in the Murguía neighborhood of the city of Melo.

A team of machinery and officials works on preparing streets for bituminous irrigation, building curbs and installing columns for public lighting.

“We are working intensely in various parts of the city. Now we are in Barrio Murguía where the changes have already begun to be noticed. On José Pedro Varela Street, the curb was already made around June 14 and now it is being done from June 14 to José Cúneo Avenue.” reported Fernando Gamarra.

“The streets are being prepared for bituminous irrigation. On Castellanos Street we are disqualifying and preparing for bitumen and curb curb. “On June 14, its entire length will have a curb.” advancement.

“The columns for lighting the Murguía are also coming. “This area will undergo a substantial change that will benefit the residents who live in the area.” he stressed.

WORK IS WORKED IN OTHER POINTS OF THE CAPITAL CITY

From Avenida Italia to the roundabout with Camino al Arenal it will be an Avenue with a central flower bed and lighting. From there until Route 8 to Aceguá it will be painted because the width of the road does not allow it.

“Another of our teams is working in Juana de Ibarbourou, southern zone sector 9, with a very important transformation in road infrastructure” Gamarra considered.

“We also have a team near the Club Charrúa sports complex. There we are making a ditch cordon until Gutiérrez Ruiz. At the same time, the cementing preparation stage is underway on the transversal roads from Saravia to the Aceguá highway.” assured the General Director of Works.

“In a few more days, asphalt will be laid in Saravia from Las Tropas to Reconquista because OSE has not yet released the section between Ejido and Las Tropas” he pointed out.

“The important thing is to close the works that we have open” he emphasized. “The idea is not to stop as long as the weather is good. “We are analyzing the issue of licenses because we must take advantage of the days of stable weather.” he added.

WORKS IN THE MUNICIPALITIES
