Meanwhile, in the Glorieta of Women Who Fight in Mexico City, groups of women searching for missing persons, mothers of victims of feminicide, defenders of water and land, journalists, survivors of femicidal violence and activists, also placed an altar to “the searchers who left without being found, to those who were taken from us with violence, to those who died of cancer, to those who have accompanied the struggles, to those who were murdered and their mothers seek justice.”
The altar was placed on October 30 with the participation of the Tetas y Rayas collective, which also set up a bra rack in solidarity with all the women who fell by the wayside fighting breast cancer.
The celebration of the Day of the Dead takes place on November 1 and 2 as it is divided into categories: According to the Catholic calendar, November 1 corresponds to All Saints Day, a day dedicated to the “little dead.” or children, and on November 2 to the Faithful Departed, that is, to adults.
Altar for Memory, death only comes with oblivion.
