Alexander Carmelo Ara (51) was apprehended by a commission of the Cicpc, attached to the Upata Municipal Delegation, in the Central Casco sector, Piar Street, Upata Parish, Piar Municipality, Bolívar state, by the femicide of María Carolina Vera Muñoz (43), which occurred in the morning hours of April 8, said the director of the Cicpc, Douglas Rico.
The victim left from her home, along with the detainee, who would take her to the Upata passenger terminal where she never arrived.
The subject took the victim to a wooded area where he tried to abuse sexually, when he resisted it with a stone, causing death immediately and after committing the sexual act, he dug a hole where he buried his lifeless body.
