The alleged murderer was located and extradited from Costa Rica after an investigation by the Atlántida prosecutor Eliana Travers, with the support of the Canelones Police and the General Directorate for the Fight Against Organized Crime and Interpol.
The 37-year-old man was charged with the crime of homicide and sent to preventive detention for 180 days while the investigation continues.
The homicide took place on the street parallel to the Interbalnearia route, at kilometer 37,300, north side, between Colón and 25th street, in the jurisdiction of sectional 22.
