The municipality of Sales de Oliveira, in the region of Ribeirão Preto, in the state of São Paulo, holds supplementary election this Sunday (14) for the choice of mayor and deputy mayor. The vote, which started at 8 am, will take place until 17h.
The new election was called after the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) rejects the mayor’s candidacy registration in 2024, Fábio Godoy Graton, for administrative misconduct.
Voters will choose from candidates from two competing plates: Mônica da Silva Favarim and Natália Martins, from the MDB, who compete for the courage to transform (MDB/can) coalition; and Thiago Alberto Camilo de Oliveira (Republicans) and Alan Felipe dos Santos (PL), who compete for the Sales Oliveira coalition cannot stop (Republicans/PL/PSD).
The winners of the election will hold their mandate on the head of the Municipal Executive by the end of 2028.
Voting is mandatory for those over 18 and under 70 years old and optional for illiterate, over 70 and young people between 16 and 17 years. To vote, it is necessary to have a voter title and to be regular with the Electoral Justice, and present an official photo document or the E-Title application with the voter’s photo.
