Municipality of Montevideo creates support program for women in music

The program is conducting the first call for Montevideans interested in receiving support and tools that contribute “to the takeoff of their careers” according to the IM on its website.

The support will be specified, among other things, in technical assistance, improvement in the recording of demos and notions of digital marketing to help the promotion. Also

eight instances of orientation in artistic production will be carried out, in charge of recognized artists of the medium.

As reported by the Florencio Sánchez Cultural Center, 4 projects will be selected by “a curatorial team made up of two CCFS representatives, one from the production area and another from music, plus an external artist.”

The applicant proposals, which can be soloists or bands, must meet the requirement of having “at least two years of the artistic project that is presented”, considering the formation of the group if it is collective, repertoire preparation and live performances. Furthermore, they cannot count on more than one EP released.
Registration can be done on the website of the Florencio Sánchez Cultural Center: https://florencio.montevideo.gub.uy/
