Deconcentrate primary medical care, Enabling more beds, with a greater amount of human resources and equipment, and continuing with cleaning mingas, will be the actions that the Municipality will take -according to Adriana Amelunge, Secretary of Health- to fight against dengue in Santa Cruz.
The health authority indicated that the dengue consultation points will be installed in the buildings of the sub-mayoralties of the districts most affected by this disease.
Amelunge pointed out that the districts with the highest number of dengue cases and with the highest Aedes Aegypti larval infestation are: 5 (North), 6 (Pampa de la Isla), 7 (Villa Primero de Mayo) and 8 (Plan 3,000).
This long weekend, there will be dengue consultation points in district 7 (Villa First of May). On Saturday it will be open from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.since the Corso de las Citadels will take place, but on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday the attention will be from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
He stated that at least some 15 more beds -according to the availability of economic resources of the Municipality- they will be installed in second level health centers, for patients with dengue symptoms.
On the other hand, he announced the arrival of 90 thousand tests to diagnose dengue.
Meanwhile, the Government holds educational talks for the prevention of dengue in municipal districts of the Santa Cruz capital, such as Montero Hoyos. In addition, Redes Urbanas staff inspects the environments set up for the care of patients with dengue in different health centers.
