The municipal elections scheduled for this Sunday in the districts of Itacuá and Nueva Asunción will have the Preliminary Electoral Results Transmission System (TREP), provided by the Superior Court of Electoral Justice (TJSE).
This Sunday, March 27, the elections will take place in the new municipalities of Itacuá, in the department of Concepción, and Nueva Asunción, in Presidente Hayes.
For these elections, the Electoral Justice will provide accompaniment and logistical support through its officials, in addition to being in charge of providing the voting machines that will be used at the time of voting.
Fausto Von Streber, ICT Director of the TSJE, confirmed that the deployment of the TREP System is also scheduled for Sunday, in order to have the transmission of preliminary results quickly and effectively.
“The TREP System is very important for us, it is the protagonist in each process. We want to give the public the results again that same night. Although they are unofficial, unofficial results, with the TREP we have an accurate picture”, he pointed out.
In this way, citizens will have informal information on the results of the election day and the candidates will have data prior to the calculation made by the Electoral Courts and the final judgment by the TSJE.
By Sunday, there will be 3 CTX (persons designated for the transmission of unofficial results) for the 3 authorized voting locations in Nueva Asunción and Itacuá. The results will be disseminated through the website of the Electoral Justice.
In Itacuá, 7 voting tables will be installed and in Nueva Asunción 10 will be enabled. A total of 4,863 voters are eligible to participate in the elections on March 27.
