
The Mayor’s Office of the Rómulo Gallegos Municipality, in the state of Apure, made official through Municipal Gazette No. 825 Amrg Decree No. 001-2026, a regulation that seeks to guarantee public order, the safety of attendees and respect for cultural traditions during the next Popular and Tourist Festivals of Elorza 2026.
Among the main provisions of the decree is the prohibition of vehicles with high-power sound systems from circulating, parking or remaining in the areas where the celebrations will take place. Likewise, the use of chemical foams and other volatile agents that may alter the normal development of activities or endanger those who participate in them is restricted.
The regulations also give security forces the power to demand the immediate interruption of excessive sounds, preventively detain equipment that violates the norm and, if there is a repeat offense, detain the offending vehicle as established by current law.
In turn, the decree incorporates a system of economic sanctions that classifies infractions into minor, serious and very serious. The proceeds of the fines will be invested directly in the organization, logistics and maintenance of the festivities, reinforcing the resources allocated for these purposes.
From the Town hall A call was made to the local community and those who visit Elorza to abide by the new provisions, emphasizing that these celebrations represent a fundamental expression of llanero folklore and are part of the Cultural Heritage of the Nationprotected by the corresponding regulations.
In addition, the provision makes official the formation of the Organizational Committee that will be in charge of articulating the cultural, tourist and traditional activities planned for the 2026 edition.
