A little over a week left for the Regional and Municipal Elections 2022 in Peru, the National Elections Jury (JNE), as usual, will organize a exchange format paper for the candidates for mayor of Metropolitan Lima. This time, the moderators will be the journalists Josefina Townsend and Carlos Cornejo.

When is the municipal debate 2022?
The JNE provided the information that the event will be this Sunday, September 25, starting at 8:00 p.m.
Format of the municipal debate 2022
In the first block, questions asked by civilians on socioeconomic, territorial, environmental and institutional issues will be chosen. Candidates will be asked two questions and will have one minute to answer each one.
In the second division of the debate, the candidates will exchange proposals through questions and replies. The JNE confirmed the order of four pairs for this exchange time, which will consist of a total of three minutes.
In the third segment, the mayoral candidates will have 45 seconds to answer two questions from civil organizations.
For the last block, viewers will listen to each politician’s final speech for one minute and 30 seconds.
