The former President of the Republic, José Mujica, referred to the performance of Luis Alberto Heber at the head of the security portfolio. The leader of the Popular Participation Movement (MPP), was consulted by the media at a press conference about Heber’s management.
“As a senator he said a lot of things, I don’t want to remind him. Sometimes I think they put him in that position to liquidate him politically. I have never seen a Minister of the Interior who has political interest. It is the tomb of the crá”, Mujica began by expressing.
He immediately maintained that “Bonomi was a kamikaze, with terrible and stubborn courage. He lasted ten years, I don’t know how. A hero! It may be that one day he will recognize it. But the place is rough. It would be good if we had the honesty to admit it.”
Mujica recalled that the Ministry of the Interior is one of the most complex. It was at that moment that he remembered Bonomi, who served as interior minister for 10 years.
