Mujica gave Lula a ride in the Fusca "to show that he is going"

According to the former president, Lula asked him to get on and ride the vehicle. He also pointed out that they went out to drive “to show that he walks”.

“He’s Brazilian, he’s going to live longer than me”Mujica said about his vehicle, at a press conference.

Lula later shared a photo on his social networks where he is seen in the passenger seat of the Volkswagen, holding the steering wheel and smiling at the camera. “Get in the car, let’s go…”, wrote the president.

On the other hand, Mujica commented that he also gave a photo to the Brazilian president that “reached” him and he sent it to him. According to the story of the former Uruguayan president, the image shows Lula “a young man with a bushy beard and a pucho, with a son of a [Wilson] Ferreira Aldunate” and was removed “in the years of the dictatorship”.

Asked about whether he foresees a new meeting with Lula in the future, Mujica stated: “If we live, yes. I think there will be”.
