The South Pier in the port of Callao continues to operate despite the fact that various ports in the country have stopped their operations due to abnormal waves.
Regarding this, DP World Callao issued a statement and indicated that they implemented strict security measures in order to guarantee the well-being of the people involved in the operations and minimize the risks derived from said natural phenomenon.
Despite the damage to certain parts of the infrastructure, the port terminal assures that it did not stop its activities.
During the surge period, cargo storage services were available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Although the intensity of the abnormal waves has decreased, DP World Callao reaffirms its commitment to remain alert to any call from the authorities and always prioritizing the safety of its personnel, infrastructure and operations.
