The National Superintendence of Migration reported that the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion declared the indefinite national strike announced by one of the entity’s unions inadmissible.
Migrations issued a statement to indicate that the strike, scheduled for July 27, 2024, was considered illegal by Directorial Resolution No. 000189-2024 of the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion, as it does not comply with the necessary legal requirements.
The resolution states that the strike action puts at risk an essential public service such as immigration control of entry and exit from the national territory.
While, Migrations He called for dialogue and confirmed his participation in the extra-process meeting organized by the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion, where the union’s demands will be addressed in order to reach an agreement in accordance with the legal framework and the allocated budget.
