MTC: works at Piura airport will require an investment of US$ 36 million

With an estimated investment of US$ 36 million, the (ADP) will expand the passenger terminal, the aircraft platform and modernize the facilities of the Capitán FAP Guillermo Concha Iberico airport in Piura, announced the Nicolas Bustamante Coronado.

In this regard, the concessionaire ADP signed a contract a few days ago with the CESEL-UG21 Consortium to carry out the technical file for the aforementioned works. This activity also included the participation of the General Director of Transportation Programs and Projects of the MTC, Héctor Piscoya.

For his part, Minister Bustamante said that this expansion of infrastructure will increase passenger capacity and the number of air operations, which will increase the commercial flow in this area of ​​the country, the number of national and international tourists and, therefore, the development of this important sector of the industry without chimney.

In his turn, Piscoya pointed out that the mission is to formulate, propose and monitor investments in transportation, prioritizing the development of infrastructure.

Our strategy to achieve this is fluid articulation with each of the concessionaires, in order to work together and provide a better service to citizens. Peru needs a strong commitment, under the premise of technical work“, said.

The MTC, in its role as the airport’s concessionaire, was in charge of reviewing, validating and approving the terms of reference of the technical file, which will be prepared before starting the construction of the infrastructure.
