The Minister of Transportation and Communications, César Sandoval, announced that Jaén Airport (Cajamarca) will operate again on September 29, after almost three years of inactivity. In addition, he reported that Caballococha airport will reopen its doors in October this year.
At a press conference after the session of the Council of Ministers, César Sandoval said that air connectivity is sought in the country. As an example, the Jauja Airport, which has already mobilized more than 4,000 weekly passengers since its reopening.
The minister emphasized that this improvement in air connectivity seeks to optimize the quality of life of citizens, generate savings and facilitate trade of products nationwide.
National Railway Plan
Additionally, the head of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC) referred to the National Railway Plan.
