MSP enables vaccination against covid-19 without agenda for children from 5 to 11 years old

The Ministry of Public Health (MSP) will enable the vaccination of minors between 5 and 11 years old without schedulefrom the next Monday June 20reported in a statement this Friday.

The waiting time between the first and second pediatric dose against covid-19 is six weeks. Meanwhile, children between 5 and 11 years old who have had the disease must wait at least three months (90 days) from the positive diagnosis or to receive the second dose.

In the case of children who have completed respiratory infections with suspected covid-19 without confirmation, the treating physician should be consulted about the appropriateness of administering the second dose, reported the MSP.

The portfolio will publish that day a list with the location and hours of the vaccinators that will supply pediatric doses.
