The Popular Participation Movement (MPP) will announce this Tuesday the incorporation of the journalist Blanca Rodriguez. Channel 5 was the first to report this news, which was confirmed by Telemundo. Rodríguez is expected to occupy one of the first places on the MPP Senate list.
A few weeks ago, Rodríguez left the news program “Subrayado,” where she was a presenter for decades. This generated speculation about her possible ties to the Frente Amplio. Finally, the decision will be announced this Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
Expectations on the Senate list
Rodríguez’s role in the campaign is not yet defined. However, she is expected to occupy a prominent place on the MPP’s Senate list. The list, still open, will likely be led by Senator Alejandro Sánchez, with former Senator Topolansky in second place.
Rodríguez could be part of the substitutes or a starter. This Tuesday, Espacio 609 has called a press conference at 19:00 at the Huella de Seregni to detail this announcement.

The list will be headed by Alejandro “Pacha” Sánchez, not by former president Mujica. Rodríguez will occupy a prominent place, but will not join the MPP sector. This political agreement was negotiated by both parties, determining his position on the list.
