The 85th National Prosecutor of the Public Ministry (MP) was appointed to investigate the events recorded in Apure state after a protest that caused damage to the facilities of the Judiciary, reported the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab.
Through his account on the social network Twitter, Saab reported in this regard that the national prosecutor 85 has powers in the field of human rights, AVN reported.
“Designated National Human Rights Prosecutor 85 to investigate the unfortunate events that occurred in the state of Apure where there was damage to officials and physical damage to the facilities of the Judiciary,” said the Attorney General.
Videos released by social networks show a violent demonstration in Apure, which caused damage to the facilities of the Judicial Circuit of Lopnna de San Fernando.
The brawl took place last Tuesday, when a group of people protested a judge’s decision to favor the father of two boys in the dispute over the custody of the children.
The protest led to violence by the demonstrators who entered the circuit destroying doors, windows and throwing part of the office materials to the floor, according to the videos released.
This Wednesday the Plenary Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice addressed in a session the issue of the damage caused to the headquarters of the Lopnna Judicial Circuit of San Fernando de Apure, said judicial sources.
