President Jair Bolsonaro edited this Thursday (24) a provisional measure that opens an extraordinary credit of R$ 479.9 million to the Ministry of Regional Development. The measure is intended to meet Civil Defense actions related to the reconstruction of infrastructure destroyed or damaged by natural disasters that generated federal recognition of the emergency situation or state of public calamity.
The states of Alagoas, Bahia, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Paraná and Rio de Janeiro fit into these characteristics.
According to the federal government, the funds could be used to recover public infrastructure, housing units and side roads, in addition to rebuilding bridges and stabilizing slopes.
The Union also clarified that the opening of extraordinary credit does not affect compliance with the spending ceiling or the primary result target.
