Movistar Colombia appointed Jaime Akli as the new Manager of the Southern Regional, who will be committed to leading commercial and customer service strategies so that the company expand its positioning in the departments of Valle del Cauca, Amazonas, Huila, Cauca, Nariño, Caquetá and Putumayo.

The new Southern Regional Manager is a systems engineer, graduated from the INCCA University of Colombia, who has had extensive training; such as a diploma in telecommunications, a master’s degree in Business Administration at the Center for Financial Studies of Spain and a specialization in management, administration and business management at the CEIPA University Foundation.

To date, in the Southern Regional, Movistar has around 909 thousand homes available to connect with Fiber Optic, more than 243 thousand connected clients and more than 6.5 million mobile users, promoting the connectivity and digitalization of the territories and communities of the region. In Colombia, the Company has invested, between 2006 and 2024, more than COP 16.7 billion for the development of mobile and fixed infrastructure and the strengthening of customer service platforms.
