The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), denied, this Thursday (7), that the resumption of work in the Plenary, After the opposition riothas been negotiated in exchange for his commitment to guide the bill that provides amnesty to those convicted of a coup attempt after the 2022 elections. 
“The presidency of the House is non -negotiable. I want this to be very clear. [jornalísticas] who are leaving the negotiation made by this presidency so that the work was resumed is not linked to any agenda. The mayor does not negotiate his prerogatives, either with opposition, nor with the government, nor with absolutely anyone, ”said Motta.
The mayor managed to sit in the chair of the Plenary Board Yesterdayafter resistance of the opposition that occupied the site for almost 30 hours, preventing legislative workers.
The riot of the opposition began after the decree of house arrest of former President Jair Bolsonaro. Parliamentarians demanded the amnesty and impeachment of Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Supreme Federal Court (STF). In the Senate, the unemployment of the plenary occurred on Thursday, without agreement to vote on the impeachment of the minister.

Reopening of work
Only after 10 pm, on Wednesday night (6) did Motta open the House session after the opposition tried to prevent him from feeling in the chair. Then the president of the house gave a brief speech, asking for dialogue and respect and ended the meeting without voting for any matter.
The opposition celebrated the end of the plenary occupation by stating that it was able to sew an agreement between leaders of the new, PP, União Brasil and PSD to guide the amnesty next week. Adding to the PL, these subtitles represent 247 deputies, almost half of the chamber, which is 256 parliamentarians out of the total of 513.
On the other hand, sought by Brazil agencythe press office of the PSD, PP and União Brasil leaders in the House did not confirm the commitment announced by the PL of defending the amnesty vote next week.
Although the prerogative of the agenda is the mayor, Motta can be influenced by most parliamentarians to guide the project.
Before Thursday’s session, Motta commented to journalists that, even with all the tension created, it was possible to guide “the less traumatic solution so that the house could resume its normality.”
“I think that, once again, the dialogue prevailed. We had the ability to talk all day with all the leaders, to be able to demonstrate that we would not give up the work yesterday, as our regiment foresees, respecting our constitution, respecting the right to the contradictory,” he said.
