Motiva (formerly CCR) won this Thursday (11) the auction for the optimized contract for Autopista Fernão Dias. The company offered a 17.05% discount on the toll fee.
The auction took place at the headquarters of B3, the São Paulo stock exchange, and was attended by the Minister of Transport, Renan Filho.
With the offer, Motiva beat two other competitors: the current highway concessionaire, Arteris Fernão Dias, which offered a 0% discount on the toll fee, and Grupo EPR (Consorcio Infraestrutura MG), which made an offer of 11.25%. The competition selected the company that offered the lowest toll fee, with the guarantee of compliance with the concession contract commitments.
This optimized BR-381 contract auction is part of the strategy of the Ministry of Transport and the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) to modernize old road concession contracts and is the fourth of its kind already carried out by the current government.
According to the Ministry of Transport, the granted section of BR-381 is strategic, serving around 250 thousand vehicles per day and approximately 16.6 million inhabitants of 33 municipalities in São Paulo and Minas Gerais.
The contract provides for investments of R$14.8 billion, which will be allocated to the modernization, duplication and expansion of the highway. Among the planned works that must be carried out by the concessionaire are the implementation of additional lanes, installation of pedestrian walkways and Stop and Rest Points.
This was the 13th highway auction held in 2025 by the federal government.
