From Together for Peru, Congresswoman Ruth Luque informed this medium that the bench’s position will be in favor of censorship, since they were the first promoters of said measure.

Likewise, he added that he perceives that there will be a change of position on the part of other parties arguing that, in reality, a motion for vacancy and no censure should be debated. “I think it will be a reason for censorship not to be allowed,” he said.
José Cueto from Renovación Popular commented that they have not yet defined their position as a parliamentary group. To do this, they will meet on Monday the 16th.
Likewise, legislator Edwin Martínez commented that the Popular Action bench has seven votes in favor of censure. In view of this, they will also meet on Monday to define whether they will present themselves with a joint decision or maintain their individuality.
Podemos Perú, party of José Luna Gálvez, has considered supporting the vacancy motion, however, to confirm the joint position they will meet before the extraordinary plenary session.
Benches and congressmen who did not sign the motion of censure against José Jerí
At the same time, there are groups and congressmen who did not sign the request for an extraordinary plenary session, so it is expected that they will not vote in favor of censure or vacancy either.
In Fuerza Popular, 20 congressmen did not sign the request. Among them are: Alejandro Aguinaga, Arturo Alegría, Eduardo Castillo, Patricia Juárez, Magally Santiesteban, Rosángella Barbarán, Ernesto Bustamante, Nilza Chacón, Víctor Flores, Raúl Huamán, Mery Infantes, David Jiménez, Jenny López, Martha Moyano, Auristela Obando, Tania Ramírez, César Revilla, Fernando Rospigliosi, Héctor Ventura and María Zeta,
In Somos Perú, 9 legislators chose not to adhere to the document. They are: Alfredo Azurín, Paul Gutiérrez, Elizabeth Medina, Jorge Morante, Alex Paredes, José Pazo, Héctor Valer, Óscar Zea and Ana Zegarra.
In Perú Libre, they did not sign: Waldemar Cerrón, Segundo Montalvo, Kelly Portalatino, Abel Reyes and Janet Rivas. In the group Together for Peru – Voices of the People – Magisterial Block, Jorge Coayla and Katy Ugarte did not subscribe either. In Podemos Peru, José Arriola and Darwin Espinoza remained on the sidelines.
Among those not grouped is Raúl Doroteo. In Acción Popular, Ilich López and Elvis Vergara did not sign. In Alliance for Progress (APP), Roberto Kamiche’s signature was withdrawn and María Acuña, Luis Cordero, Jon Tay, José Elías, Nelcy Heidinger and Segundo Quiroz did not subscribe.
Debate will not take place in the Congress chamber
That is the outlook for the extraordinary plenary session on Tuesday the 17th which, according to information released by Canal N, will not take place in the chamber for logistical reasons.
The chosen place is the main auditorium of the Faustino Sánchez Carrión Building, located in block four of Jirón Azángaro, near Congress and the Ombudsman’s Office. This space is part of the set of administrative buildings linked to the Legislative Branch.
Unlike the hemicycle, this space does not have parliamentary seats. Legislators will be seated in conventional seats.
