Almost a year and five months after the shooting death of young Ángel Marte Florián by a police agent in the Sabana Perdida neighborhood of Santo domingo nortetheir relatives cry out for justice in the case.

Florián Feliz recounted that his son fell dejected to gunshots by agent Tomas Emmanuel De Sosa Soler, on June 9, 2021 at five in the afternoon near Bulevar Salome Ureña, near the entrance to the main avenue of Sabana Perdida, when he was on his way from the Domingo Savio neighborhood, where he lives , to visit a daughter who lives in that sector of Santo Domingo Norte.
He stressed that due to the way in which the case has been handled by the prosecutor in charge of the file, Gilberto Castillo Fortuna of Invivienda, there is a maneuver to try to cover up the policeman who killed his son.
Likewise, he asked the prosecutor Miriam German to order an investigation of the case, since due to the attitude that the magistrate in charge of the process has maintained, an administrative decision favorable to the agent could be issued and the file archived.
He said that as a result of the crime, De Sosa Soler was arrested but within 48 hours he was released, and since then nothing serious has been done to apply justice for the crime.
He pointed out that when he was arrested, the agent alleged that he shot the young man to defend himself from an alleged robbery, an argument that he assures makes no sense because his son was not a criminal, and a paper of good conduct was shown to prove it and reject the attempt to try to justify the murder.
Maribel Florián Feliz expressed that for the tranquility of the family, and of society, she trusts in the intervention of the Attorney General’s Office so that justice is activated and the process becomes a reality, so that the murder of her son Ángel Marte Florián does not go unpunished, and the agent Tomas Emmanuel de Sosa Soler receives the corresponding punishment and pays as he owes for the shooting death of the young man.
