The Cicpc reported the capture of Patricia Mesa (23) accused of the death of her three-month-old daughter, an event that occurred inside her home located in the Blanco sector, 51st Avenue, Venancio Pulgar parish, Maracaibo, Zulia.
Forensic detectives determined that the cause of death of the 3-month-old infant was mechanical asphyxiation by suffocation, because the woman, under a state of intoxication, was about to breastfeed the victim and fell asleep on top of her, realizing after getting up that the newborn was lifeless.
The woman was handed over to the 35th Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry.
In another incident, CICPC agents, attached to the Maracaibo Anti-Extortion Brigade, shot dead Emilio Enrique Delgado Delgado (El Bebe) in Valle Encantado, Santa Rita. He is accused of participating in the triple homicide of fishermen that occurred in Lake Maracaibo on August 24.
The victim was a member of the JL gang, who frequently charge fishermen fees, the report says.
