Glenda Nayibe Parra Arenas40 years old, and Laura Fernanda Gamero Parra22, mother and daughter, were killed on the terrace of their home on Calle 28A with Carrera 19, Villa Concorde II neighborhood, in the municipality of Malambo, in events that occurred around 8:00 this Monday night.
According to the witnesses’ account to the authorities, the women were at home when two men on a motorcycle passed by the area and were shot. Glenda Nayibe, who had been shot several times, died at the scene, while her daughter, who suffered a head injury, died hours later.
A a 2-year-old minor, granddaughter and daughter of the fatal victims, was injured with a projectile in the abdomen and remains hospitalized at the Universidad Del Norte Hospital, in Soledad.

Also a 17-year-old teenager, a resident of the area, ended up affected by a stray bulletand was taken by his relatives to the La Merced clinic in Barranquilla.
Among the lines of investigation handled by the authorities, this double crime would apparently be related to issues of micro-trafficking, in fact, the Metropolitan Police confirmed that Glenda Parra had a history of carrying firearms.
This is the second double homicide in less than 24 hours in municipalities of the metropolitan area of Barranquilla.

Let us remember that this Monday morning, in the middle of a luxurious party that took place in the sector of Punta Roca, in Salgar-Sabanillajurisdiction of Colombian PortJonathan Ospino, 21, was murdered just as he was celebrating his birthday, while the other victim, who remains unidentified, would be the bodyguard of one of the partygoers.
