According to Curbelo, Ripoll would have refused to support the fight for the rights of people with autism months ago, arguing that “he was not involved in politics with that issue.”
In the letter, Curbelo criticized the Ripoll party for hindering access to personal assistants and solutions for families with children with disabilities.
He also pointed out the lack of response from the Presidency to a request presented in April. The mother closed the message by asking Ripoll to abandon what she considers a strategy based on victimization.
The publication generated repercussions on networks and Ripoll responded in a television interview that she was a “broad front” mother who sought to use autism as “electoral loot.”
