SANTO DOMINGO.- The Doctor Francisco Moscoso Puello Hospital reported that it assisted 135,596 patients in the emergency room and 202,262 consultations were carried out during the year 2022.
He indicated that of the consultations, 100,771 were for the first time.
The director of the center, María Argentina Germán, said that the hospital registered 7,289 people admitted to both the intermediate hospitalization area and the Intensive Care Unit.
The five services in consultations with the largest number of patients in these 12 months were vascular surgery, with 33,924 attendances; comprehensive care, with 27,901; urology, with 21,000, mental health, with 11,374; and nephrology, with 11,110.
“These numbers show the work carried out by all the staff of the Moscoso Puello hospital, and it is a commitment to provide assistance to citizens,” said the health professional.
Germán added that 588,137 laboratory tests and 19,491 surgeries (major and minor) were performed.
Of the images performed, the Department of Statistics of the hospital records that 17,323 were sonographies, 11,022 tomographies, 32,000 x-rays, 1,518 mammograms, 2,369 echocardiograms, and 3,070 electrocardiograms.
The director of Moscoso Puello highlighted that these figures were achieved with the support and guidelines of the National Health Service, an institution whose mission is to contribute to the health of the population and the satisfaction of users, through the provision of public services. health organized in integrated networks.
