The mortgage credits they increased only 0.2% in December of last year compared to the same month of 2021, reported the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP).
“In monthly terms, mortgage credit in soles increased by 0.3% in December 2022,” the BCR specified.
As for dollarization, it was 9% in the last month of last year, a lower figure of 0.1 percentage points than in November.
“Compared to the level observed in December 2021, dollarization decreased by 1.3 percentage points,” the monetary entity specified.
LOANS 2022
During the 2022 period, mortgage credit registered a growth of 7.9% compared to 2021.
“This type of credit was being favored by the increase in mortgage loans granted in soles, whose growth rate was 9.5%,” reported the Central Bank.
