The mortgage credits they increased 7.9% at the end of 2022, reported the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP).
The situation was different in terms of monthly results, both for this type of loan in general and for those that were granted in soles. In the first of both cases, the credits had a monthly variation of 0.2%.
“In monthly terms, mortgage credit in soles increased by 0.3% in December 2022,” the BCR specified.
As for dollarization, it was 9% in the last month of last year, a lower figure of 0.1 percentage points than in November.
“Compared to the level observed in December 2021, dollarization decreased by 1.3 percentage points,” the monetary entity specified.
During the 2022 period, mortgage credit registered a growth of 7.9% compared to 2021.
“This type of credit was being favored by the increase in mortgage loans granted in soles, whose growth rate was 9.5%,” reported the Central Bank.
